چکیده
Salinity is an essential parameter in rice cultivation activity. It has a significant impact on paddy growth and also the yield of paddy. However, level salinity concentration plots depends surrounding conditions. The distance area from coastline, temperature intensity rainfall should be considered studies involving water quality. Additionally, tide events included this study because position near coastline. Therefore, was conducted to assess two different seasons describe using variability map Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) interpolation method. data collection activities involved sampling at 44 inlets for each plot 30 hectares by referring Day After Sowing (DAS) as paddy’s stage. These samples were collected 10 DAS, 40 60 DAS subsequently tested portable conductivity meter namely EC500 Exstick II pH/Conductivity/Temperature Meter. Parallelly, georeference which latitude, longitude elevation gathered Garmin GPSMAP 64s. Then, these analyzed IDW method ArcGIS software comes with maps. produced maps give overview distribution color scale range. Based maps, highest recorded during Season 1 2019 2 2019, respectively both tidal events. This result shows that trend due amount received compared mean factor. Mapping Spatial Variability of Soil Salinity in a Coastal Paddy Field Based on Electromagnetic Sensors
In coastal China, there is an urgent need to increase land area for agricultural production and urban development, where there is a rapid growing population. One solution is land reclamation from coastal tidelands, but soil salinization is problematic. As such, it is very important to characterize and map the within-field variability of soil salinity in space and time. Conventional methods are ...
متن کاملRisk mapping of dengue in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dengue fever is a recurring public health problem afflicting thousands of Malaysians annually. In this paper, the risk map for dengue fever in the peninsular Malaysian states of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur was modelled based on co-kriging and geographical information systems. Using population density and rainfall as the model's only input factors, the area with the highest risk for dengue infecti...
متن کاملGaseous emissions from flooded rice paddy agriculture
[1] Modification of continental land for agricultural use has increased over the last century. Atmospheric impact of this land use change has only been addressed for a few ecosystems and compounds. This paper provides, to date, the most comprehensive examination of gaseous emissions from rice paddies. We report seasonal emission ranges and integrated emission totals for 55 chemical species. Thi...

A prevalence study for intestinal parasites among 305 infants and young children was conducted at the Paediatric wards of the General Hospital Kuala Lum.pur, Malaysia. 40.8 percent of children were infected with at least one type of intestinal parasites: 39 percent were found to be infected with intestinal helminths and 4.26 percent with intestinal protozoa. Ascaris formed 17.38 percent of the ...
متن کاملArsenic behavior in paddy fields during the cycle of flooded and non-flooded periods.
The behavior of As in paddy fields is of great interest considering high As contents of groundwater in several Asian countries where rice is the main staple. We determined the concentrations of Fe, Mn, and As in soil, soil water, and groundwater samples collected at different depths down to 2 m in an experimental paddy field in Japan during the cycle of flooded and non-flooded periods. In addit...
